Job Description:

Are you an experienced telehandler operator looking for short-term work in the North East? We are seeking a reliable driver to join a major new build housing site in the Newcastle area for holiday cover contract work. If you are looking for stability and a consistent pipeline of work with a leading residential developer, this is the role for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operating a telescopic handler to move materials across a live housing site
  • Unloading deliveries (bricks, blocks, timber, etc.) and managing site storage areas
  • Distributing materials to loading bays for bricklayers, joiners, and roofers
  • Performing daily vehicle safety inspections and maintaining the machine in good order
  • Supporting the Site Manager with site logistics and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS card (Telehandler category)
  • Significant experience working on new build housing sites
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots)
  • A dependable work ethic and a proactive approach to supporting on-site trades
  • Reliable transport for commuting within the Newcastle/Tyneside area
  • Full UK driving licence.
