DSC provides high-quality technical support for telecommunications builds and troubleshooting across a wide range of commercial and large-scale building environments. An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our growing team in Kingsgrove, NSW. The role focuses on the installation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and ongoing operational support of telecommunications systems and networks across a range of project sites.
Job Responsibility:
Install, maintain, test, and diagnose faults in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), in-building mobile coverage systems, and associated radio and telecommunications equipment across commercial and infrastructure sites
Configure, integrate, and support telecommunications systems in conjunction with network hardware, software, cabling, and related IT infrastructure
Conduct sweep testing, performance monitoring, optimisation, and fault diagnosis of antennas, cabling, and telecommunications systems using specialised testing instruments
Provide ongoing operational support for troubleshooting, repairing, and resolving network performance faults, defects, and service issues across greenfield and upgrade sites
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site documentation, and maintain accurate technical records, logs, and equipment documentation in line with quality standards
Liaise with project teams, vendors, and service providers to support installations, maintenance works, and timely project delivery
Requirements:
Degree or diploma qualification in Telecommunications or a closely related field
Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, and technical support
Demonstrated experience working with DAS, radio and networked telecommunications systems
Strong capability in fault diagnosis, system testing, optimisation, and troubleshooting using specialised telecommunications instruments
Experience integrating telecommunications systems with computer hardware, software, and network environments
Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation and comply with operational procedures and quality standards
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a technical project team
