Job Description

Robert Half (Technology Solutions) is searching for a Telecom Engineer with a background in call center, telecom, VoIP, Genesys, Cisco WebEx, Call Agents, MDM, Networking, etc. If this sounds like your background, then this Telecom Engineer role is for you. For this opportunity, you will work remotely with travel in the San Diego, CA area.

Job Responsibility

  • Support customers on both telecom / mobile phone systems
  • Provider / vendor / 3rd-party management (ISPs / service providers)
  • Want to create scripts, integrate APIs, automate call flows (IVR)
  • Create agent scripts (AI voice agents), conversational AI features
  • Support call routing logic, call flow issues, integrated platforms
  • Reporting Tools (use Bight Metrics + ISI) – create custom dashboards and generate reports on volume/activity/data
  • Resolve complicated/advanced tickets
  • 50% Ticketing (Genesys, Mitel, Intune, Cisco, Cell Phone Issues, Provider Issues, Inbound/Outbound call resolutions, reporting, legacy break/fix, unable to dial, no connectivity on calls, headset malfunction, etc.)
  • 50% Projects (i.e. Mitel to WebEx migration)

Requirements

  • Strong Telecom Engineering Experience
  • Genesys (or similar Call Center Applications)
  • Cisco (for WebEx Phone / VoIP)
  • VoIP Expert (Cloud-based Platforms) | Exp. Migrating Legacy Phone systems (preferred)
  • Intune (for Device Management)
  • Analytical (Call Routing Analysis, Diagnostics, Networking)
  • Network Protocols (SIP Infrastructure, BGP)
  • Vendor Management (Verizon, some AT&T, SIP Provider)
  • Can Set up Call Flows, Announcements, Schedules, etc.
  • Can Set up Agents (Remote/Internal Agents)
  • Reporting Tools (Bight Metrics, ISI WebEx Calling)
  • API Experience / Text-Queueing (Future of Call Centers)
  • Customer Service (Critical for Client-Facing Support)
