Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and dynamic Project Manager for managing end-to-end next generation assurance, provisioning& orchestration projects implementation, for HPE telecommunications customers across EMEA region, to ensure successful implementations according to the specifications or SOW.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage medium to large projects with more than 20 team members, including responsibility for project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Manage client relationships
  • Manage mid to upper-level client delivery relationships
  • Frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients
  • Manage communication to the project team and stakeholders
  • Manage risks and issues in projects and lead them to closure
  • Maintain requirements traceability matrix, working with business analysts and architects
  • Enable team collaboration by conducting workshops, meetings, etc.
  • Follow up on tasks assigned to project team members and resolve blockers to enable teams to make progress
  • Escalate issues to senior management and stakeholders to resolve impediments
  • Own project management deliverables such as project charter, project plan, and reports
  • Work with testing teams to ensure test phases are carried out per plan
  • Ensure change and release management processes are followed for implementing changes in production environments and transitioning to support teams
  • Track organizational metrics and ensure processes are followed during project execution
  • Manage project financials, including P&L
  • Meet or exceed approved budgets
  • Provide reliable financial forecasts to management
  • Manage business development activities
  • Identify and develop new opportunities within current projects
  • Support qualification and opportunity assessment for large and moderately complex opportunities
  • Act as opportunity manager for medium to high-risk deals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline with over 7 years of experience implementing IT solutions as a project manager in the Telco industry
  • Minimum 3-5 full life cycle IT implementations as an IT project manager in the Telco industry
  • PMP Certified
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Exposure to test management tools
  • Experience with vendor engagement, statements of work, and procurement processes

  • Lead the full lifecycle of complex technical projects, including infrastructure upgrades, network refreshes, point-of-sale (POS) systems implementation, and other retail technology initiatives
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Maintain a broad and deep understanding of network topologies, data center operations, cloud infrastructure, and security best practices to effectively guide project teams

  • Oversee all project-related vendor relationships. This includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts with external vendors and service providers to ensure favorable terms, adherence to scope, and cost-effectiveness
  • Drive the successful deployment and integration of technology solutions across a multi-site retail footprint, understanding the unique operational challenges and timelines of the retail business
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and executive summaries. Proactively identify and manage risks, communicating potential impacts and mitigation strategies to all levels of the organization
  • Responsible for creating, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, tracking expenditure, and forecasting resource needs
