Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and dynamic Project/ Program Manager for managing end-to-end next generation provisioning & orchestration projects implementation, for HPE telecommunications customers, to ensure successful implementation according to the specifications or SOW.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage medium to large projects with more than 10 team members and be responsible for scope, schedule, and cost of the project
  • Manage client relationships
  • Manage mid to upper-level client delivery relationships
  • Frequently represent the organization to external customers/client
  • Manage communication to project team and stakeholders
  • Manage risks and issues in projects and lead them to closure
  • Manage requirements traceability matrix to solution by working with business analysts and architects
  • Enable team collaboration through conducting workshops, meetings etc.
  • Follow up on tasks to be completed by project team members and resolve blocks to enable teams to make progress
  • Escalate to senior management and stakeholders to resolve issues and impediments
  • Own project management deliverables such as project charter, project plan, reports
  • Work with testing team members to ensure test phases are carried out per plan
  • Ensure all change and release management are followed to implement changes to production environments and transition to support teams
  • Ensure all organizational metrics are tracked and processes followed during the execution of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT / Engineering or related discipline with over 7 years of experience implementing IT solutions in a project manager role in Telco industry
  • Minimum 1-3 full life cycle IT implementations as an IT project manager in Telco industry
  • Great oral and written communication, presentation skills, meeting management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • High internal drive/self-initiative
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep knowledge and experience in PM methodologies - waterfall, agile, lean etc.
  • Experience following best practices and project management standards
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn new methods, follow lead and achieve results
  • Thorough understanding of project management artifacts and deliverables
  • Good understanding of software test methodologies, and exposure to test management tools is a plus
  • Formal education or certification in Project Management is preferred
  • Experience with vendor engagement, statement of work and procurement processes is a plus
  • Able to cope with very high peak workloads, short deadlines and significant pressure
  • Manage big size projects independently
  • Able to travel and work remotely
  • Fluency in English - Advanced verbal and written English language communications skills.

Nice to have

  • Good understanding of software test methodologies, and exposure to test management tools
  • Experience with vendor engagement, statement of work and procurement processes
  • Formal education or certification in Project Management.
