Job Description:

Perform a variety of maintenance and engineering tasks in a luxury hotel environment, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations. Responsible for repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems. Collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • carry equipment
  • identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
  • maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • assure daily activities and issues are communicated to other shifts
  • perform repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters
  • troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, plumbing, electrical items, HVAC, cosmetic issues, internet devices, and TV programming
  • use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
  • perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
  • train and mentor other engineers
  • perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
  • follow safety and security policies and procedures
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • speak with others using clear and professional language
  • use computers to locate work-related information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • vocational or technical background
  • extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration
  • parts inventory and requisition
  • exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
  • at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • valid Driver’s License
  • must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
