The Technology Strategy & Insights team is expanding, and we are seeking an accomplished and innovative Technology Strategist to join our high-performing global team. Job Responsibility:

  • Establishing Strategy as a Discipline for Business Growth: Collaborate with senior executives to identify critical opportunities, market disruptors, and strategic challenges impacting Citi's business, outlining how technology can drive growth and revenue generation
  • Contribute to shaping Citi's growth narrative for Investor Day
  • Identify, cultivate, and enable strategic partnerships with key technology providers, fintechs, and academic institutions to accelerate innovation and capabilities crucial for Citi's strategic objectives
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor technology strategies, market trends, and emerging disruptors to identify potential threats and opportunities for Citi, informing strategic positioning and differentiation
  • Partnering on AI Metrics & Insights Framework Definition: Partner with existing team members and Engineering & Architecture leads to define the framework for Citi's firm-wide AI capability taxonomy
  • Collaborate on establishing standards for generating and storing usage telemetry for Citi's AI tools, providing critical insights to drive strategy and adoption
  • Contribute to the strategic guidance on the responsible and impactful adoption of AI technologies across the organization
  • Evolving and Maintaining Citi’s Technology Strategy: Support the annual refresh and continuous evolution of Citi’s overarching Technology Strategy to reflect the latest organizational changes, industry trends, and strategic priorities
  • Extend technology roadmaps to cover all relevant business and functional organizations and contribute to the development of sub-strategies for new areas (e.g., Digital Assets), ensuring existing strategies remain current with technological advancements
  • Develop and refine compelling presentations and strategic documents for CTO Management, Technology Leadership, and the Board of Directors, effectively telling the story of Technology Strategy
  • Facilitating Governance & Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate and document governance processes, including tracking follow-up actions and ensuring audit-readiness
  • Partner with stakeholders across strategy, operations, and engineering to champion Technology Strategy, ensuring alignment and clear communication of the team's perspective and priorities

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in financial services, technology strategy development, business analysis, or consulting, with a focus on business growth and/or AI
  • Proven experience operating at an SVP level or equivalent, functioning as a highly strategic individual contributor
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence senior stakeholders effectively
  • Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguity, identify core business and technological drivers, and formulate actionable strategies that deliver tangible impact
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive competitor and market analysis
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technology trends, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, and their strategic application within the banking sector
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with extensive experience presenting to executive-level IT managers and influencing C-suite decisions
  • Ability to quickly build trust, constructively challenge, and foster effective partnerships
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • A keen interest in AI & Automation and their strategic applications
  • Self-motivated, independent, and highly adaptive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Possesses strong initiative, willingness to take ownership, and the ability to effectively deliver against expectations
  • A commitment to excellence and collaboration within a diverse workforce
