Job Description

We are looking for a Technology Specialist to join our team in Muskegon, Michigan. This is a contract position focused on providing IT support across multiple service areas, with occasional travel required to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional help desk assistance.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts and security protocols
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, Office 365, SQL Server, and Server environments
  • Administer and optimize Meraki networks to enhance connectivity and performance
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of IT systems across multiple locations
  • Document and track technical issues and resolutions using help desk tools
  • Collaborate with team members to implement technology solutions and improvements
  • Perform regular system updates and backups to ensure data security and reliability
  • Travel to various service areas as needed, utilizing a company-provided vehicle
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to end-users to improve their understanding of IT systems

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Active Directory management and administration
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Exchange, Office 365, SQL Server, and Server environments
  • Experience working with Meraki networks and related tools
  • Solid understanding of help desk operations and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to travel to different locations within the service area as required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and end-users
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in IT support and systems administration
