Job Description:

It’s happening at Barclays. Be a part of a place where challenges are measured in billions, qubits and nanoseconds. Build your career in an environment where we’re advancing machine learning, leveraging blockchains, and harnessing FinTech. Working in Barclays technology, you’ll reimagine possibilities: learning and innovating to solve the challenges ahead, delivering for millions of customers. We are shaping the future of financial technology. Why not join us and make it happen here?

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the technology delivery roadmap for the Client Journey Optimization Program, aligning scope, milestones, and cadence to business outcomes
  • Translate Client Onboarding objectives into a prioritised backlog of automation, orchestration, and workflow capabilities that reduce cycle time and improve straight-through processing
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to shape the target solution: integration and data requirements, non-functional standards (security, resilience, performance, and controls), and orchestration/workflow & case management (including human-in-the-loop steps)
  • Drive senior alignment and decision-making across Markets, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Technology to manage scope, dependencies, trade-offs, and governance, delivering KPI outcomes with proactive risk management
  • Identify pragmatic analytics/ML opportunities (e.g., decision support, intelligent routing, and data/document extraction and validation) to reduce Client Onboarding cycle time and improve client and operational outcomes

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of how technology delivery integrates with the business division / Group to achieve overall business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to use structured analysis to identify Client Onboarding pain points and design pragmatic process automation and workflow solutions in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to make and justify prioritization decisions (scope, sequencing, and resourcing) while managing dependencies and balancing value, risk, and delivery constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to align senior Business and Technology stakeholders on scope, delivery plans, and governance, and to drive measurable outcomes and adoption

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Client Onboarding processes and controls (e.g., KYC, documentation, approvals, and auditability)
  • Hands-on experience delivering workflow orchestration and process automation solutions across multiple systems
  • Experience defining integration and data requirements (e.g., APIs, events, and data quality) in partnership with Engineering and Architecture teams
  • Strong ability to define KPIs (e.g., cycle time and straight-through processing) and communicate progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders
What we offer:
  • Competitive holiday allowance
  • Life assurance
  • Private medical care
  • Pension contribution
