The Technology Manager – Security & Identity is responsible for leading and maturing the organization’s core cyber hygiene, identity, and compliance capabilities. This role oversees patch management, vulnerability testing and remediation, access management, and identity governance, with a strong emphasis on NERC CIP compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and proven people management experience. The ideal candidate has operated in regulated, critical infrastructure environments, ideally within the energy or renewables sector, and understands how to balance operational security with regulatory obligations.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and maturing the organization’s core cyber hygiene, identity, and compliance capabilities
Overseeing patch management, vulnerability testing and remediation, access management, and identity governance, with a strong emphasis on NERC CIP compliance
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in IT, security, or infrastructure roles with direct responsibility for patching, vulnerability management, and IAM
3+ years of people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and team development
Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining compliance with NERC CIP standards, particularly as they relate to: Patch management
Vulnerability assessments and remediation
Access control and identity management
Strong technical knowledge of: Patch management tools and processes
Vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows
Identity and access management (IAM) systems
Role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege models
Experience working in regulated or critical infrastructure environments
Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with policy, compliance, and audit requirements
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
