Job Description

We are currently seeking several skilled Technology Lawyers to work with our client, Google, on an exciting long-term engagement.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide legal advice to teams from Research & Development, Marketing and Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing & Communications from the initial stages of product development to launch
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology contracts such as Cloud/SaaS agreements
  • Support business teams by building consensus on projects from design to launch, including new features, products and services, and programs
  • Review global products, features, and platforms to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies focused on company goals
  • Remain up to date on relevant industry, data privacy, consumer protection, and advertising laws and regulations to ensure an ongoing ability to provide thoughtful and relevant advice

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience at a top law firm and/or in-house department as product, technology, commercial, privacy, or IP counsel
  • engineers with a law degree also encouraged to apply
  • Experience taking on complex projects
  • Called to bar in Ontario

Nice to have

  • Experience working in-house for a large technology company
  • Experience partnering with the R&D team and engineers
  • Held the title Product Counsel and launched a product
