The Technology Innovation & Data Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operation, maintenance, and security of all computer systems, data, and voice communication technologies within the property. This role ensures the stability of mission‑critical systems, supports end‑users, and upholds corporate technology standards to deliver exceptional service to guests and employees.
Job Responsibility
Maintain harmonious and professional working relationships with all departments and the Home Office
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
Provide timely and effective technical assistance to hotel guests with varying levels of technology needs
Deliver exceptional service and technical support to administrative users in line with the contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Provide direct guest support and ensure high-quality technology services for function rooms, events, and conference operations
Ensure availability of critical systems—including PMS, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX, and POS—24 hours a day
Establish and maintain user procedures, training, and hardware familiarization for all systems
Provide system administration for servers, including user/group account management, configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation
Support server infrastructure through performance monitoring, OS upgrades, and issue resolution
Ensure effective support for property-wide systems such as Back Office, Sales & Catering, and Human Resources applications
Administer and maintain the property’s communication tools and platforms
Assist in managing the hotel’s network infrastructure (wired and wireless), ensuring stability, performance, and security
Support Active Directory, server infrastructure, and network protection tools including firewalls, web security solutions, and failover systems
Ensure effective virus protection, endpoint security, and mitigation of cybersecurity incidents
Assist in executing and monitoring system backup and recovery procedures
Provide 24/7 support for mission critical technology systems
Support the coordination and implementation of new technology acquisitions and major Technology Innovation & Data’s projects
Participate in corporate-led technology initiatives and ensure smooth onboarding at the property level
Maintain and promote Four Seasons Core Technology Standards as outlined in the Four Seasons Technology Innovation & Data Core Standards
Recommend improvements and new applications to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency
Implement technology best practices across the property
Assist in managing third party vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery
Contribute to the preparation and management of technology-related capital and operating budgets
Support other administrative or accounting-related functions as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in hospitality
Strong knowledge of hotel technology systems, networks, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and Microsoft 365
Experience in IT project management, digital transformation, and data analytics
Ability to manage vendors, budgets, and technology-related contracts
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Professional certifications (ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, etc.) are an advantage
Experience in luxury hospitality or international hotel brands is preferred
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia
Must have the right to work in Malaysia
Nice to have
Professional certifications (ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, etc.) are an advantage
Experience in luxury hospitality or international hotel brands is preferred
