A leading Canadian P&C insurer is seeking a strategic and hands-on Technology Infrastructure Manager to oversee enterprise operations. The role focuses on leading the delivery of superior digital experiences through robust infrastructure management. You will be responsible for both high-level strategy and day-to-day technical leadership within a multi-channel environment. This is a key leadership position aimed at maintaining the company's long-standing history of technological excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of infrastructure professionals
Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the design and maintenance of Windows Server environments, .NET applications, and SQL databases
Network & Security: Optimize Fortinet firewalls and Cisco/Dell switching environments
enforce IT security policies in alignment with industry standards
Systems Management: Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V HA Failover Clusters and Dell Blade/PowerMax/SAN infrastructure
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure supports long-term corporate goals
Operations: Manage vendor relationships, track budgets, and lead disaster recovery/business continuity planning
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years in IT infrastructure with 7+ years in a formal leadership/management role
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, MS SQL, and .NET environments
Proven experience with Dell Blade/PowerMax, Compellent SAN, and Cisco/Dell networking protocols
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall configuration and modern cybersecurity frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the communication skills necessary to manage diverse stakeholders
Nice to have:
MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, or Fortinet NSE
