Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Cybersecurity AI/ML Technology Director with deep technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the development of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions in the Cybersecurity domain. This role requires a strong hands-on leader who can dive into architecture and design discussions and bring forward-looking ideas and innovations that align with enterprise goals. You will play a pivotal role in shaping, building, and scaling a world-class engineering team that delivers secure, intelligent, and scalable AI-driven cybersecurity solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and GenAI solutions for cybersecurity
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, platform teams, and security experts
Provide technical leadership in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
Stay abreast of industry trends in AI, ML, GenAI, and cybersecurity
Guide adoption and implementation of enterprise AI/ML platforms
Build, manage, and mentor high-performing engineering team
Ensure engineering practices meet highest standards of security, performance, and scalability
Partner with cross-functional leaders to align engineering efforts with business objectives
Define and track KPIs and OKRs for engineering execution
Function as technical representative during cross-team collaborative efforts
Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks

Requirements:

8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience
4+ years of management or leadership experience
10+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5 years in a managerial or technical leadership role
Proven experience delivering AI/ML and GenAI solutions in cybersecurity or high-security domain
Strong knowledge of machine learning lifecycle, LLMs, MLOps practices, model deployment and monitoring
Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity use cases and data sources
Hands-on experience with modern data and AI stacks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, Databricks, LangChain, Vector DBs)
Experience designing scalable microservices and data pipelines in hybrid cloud environment
Proven ability to evaluate and integrate third-party enterprise tools and open-source frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience building and nurturing diverse engineering teams
Experience with Generative AI frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, LLaMA) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
