As Technology Developer, you will design, model and optimise pyrolysis processes, including reactor concepts, heating systems and feedstock preparation. You will develop and refine post-treatment strategies such as product upgrading, gas conditioning and char treatment with the aim of maximising product valorisation and overall process efficiency. You will be actively involved in laboratory and pilot-scale testing, analysing performance data and translating experimental results into robust and scalable process designs that can progress towards industrial implementation. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from R&D, operations and engineering to ensure seamless integration of pyrolysis units with downstream upgrading technologies such as hydrotreatment, catalytic cracking and distillation. A key aspect of your role will be supporting energy integration by valorising pyrolysis gases and ensuring that final product streams meet the required specifications for use as steam cracker feedstock, fuels or material applications. Innovation and problem-solving are central to this position. You will evaluate new catalysts, reactor configurations and separation technologies, while also troubleshooting technical challenges such as fouling, process instability and feedstock variability. Through your analyses, you will identify opportunities for yield improvement, cost reduction and increased robustness of the overall process.
