Grant Thornton’s Technology Consulting team helps clients navigate strategic technology change, advising Private Equity and corporate clients to help them make critical technology investment decisions. From pre‑deal technology due diligence to post‑deal value creation planning, we assess technology risks, opportunities and operating models to determine how “future‑fit” an organisation really is. We also support clients with major technology decisions, running Spec & Select engagements to help them choose the right platforms, partners and architecture for their growth.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and support high‑impact projects across multiple sectors
Work with senior consultants and directors to shape client outcomes
Deliver technology consulting engagements
Provide analysis, structure and insight across a range of client projects
Technology Strategy & Operating Model Support: Analyse technology estates and operating model elements
Contribute to target‑state options, principles and portfolio‑level roadmaps
Support workshops, interviews and requirements sessions
Translate and present findings and insights
Business Systems Strategy & Digital Transformation: Support System strategy engagements
Contribute to market scans, shortlists and platform/partner evaluations
Help build pragmatic transformation plans and sequencing
Work with SMEs to shape integration, data and reporting needs
M&A Technology Advisory (PE & Corporate): Contribute to technology due diligence
Support development of separation and integration plans
Produce clear, structured analysis and reporting
Project Support & Collaboration: Work closely with senior consultants and Engagement Managers
Coordinate with wider project teams
Build positive working relationships across the practice
Contribute to proposals, research, credentials and methodologies
Participate actively in practice initiatives
Build relationships with client stakeholders
Requirements:
Practical technology experience in a relevant environment
A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline is strongly preferred
Experience in technology consulting, IT operations or a similar professional setting
Ability to communicate technical concepts simply and effectively
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Exposure to IT strategy, digital transformation or M&A technology engagements
Understanding of systems architecture, cloud platforms or cybersecurity
Experience with data analysis or scripting (e.g., SQL, Python)
