Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and service various building systems, perform basic repairs to keep the facility in optimal working condition
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs beyond scope of capability
  • Primary duties include basic electrical maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, checking switches and electrical outlets
  • Handle plumbing and sanitation systems including fixing leaky faucets and resolving pipe blockages
  • Perform basic HVAC system maintenance
  • Maintain building surfaces through painting, wall repairs, and general upkeep
  • Keep building surroundings clean and well-maintained

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous building maintenance experience preferred but not essential - willing to train motivated candidates
  • Basic knowledge of common hand tools and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility
  • Must be available for shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts or on-call duties for emergency maintenance situations

Nice to have:

  • Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills for interacting with teams
