Job Description

The role of the Laboratory Technician is to support the QC testing group during various stages of the manufacture of products at Thetford. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the required tasks are performed following established practices and within the required time frames.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform sample preparation / testing / analysis using basic laboratory equipment
  • Participate in any laboratory investigations as required
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practice whilst undertaking work within the laboratory
  • Ensure their own working practices adhere to Health & Safety regulations
  • Support and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory
  • Provide support for the Laboratory Supervisor in any reasonable request relating to the laboratory operation

Requirements

  • A Level qualification or above
  • Laboratory experience preferred but not essential
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a methodical and organised manner
  • Genuine interest in a career in Science
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
