The Instrumentaiton/Calibration Technician develops, tests, calibrates, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots standard Measuring and Test instruments/equipment (M&TE) used in the manufacturing and laboratories processes to ensure conformance to calibration standards. Executes work orders for all instruments, devices and systems in the site to ensure that they are in a safe and accurate operating condition in accordance with Baxter standards and cGMP.
Job Responsibility
Calibrates, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots M&TE for site to ensure conformance to established calibration standards and procedures
Carries out planned or unplanned maintenance and repair on M&TE, process control and safety systems
Consults site's procedures, manufacturer's manuals, diagrams and specifications to determine tests and maintenance activities to M&TE
Commissions M&TE in accordance with Engineering Standard Specifications
Repairs and adjusts system components such as sensors, transmitters and PLC including the removal and replacement of defective parts
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance work and documents all work performed as per cGMP and GDP requirements
Complies with classification and prioritization systems for completion of work orders
Communicates work performed and atypical situations encountered to supervisor or lead
Requirements
Able to read, understand and speak Spanish and English
cGMP basic knowledge
Computer literate
Able to interpret and apply maintenance, repair, inspection and compliance codes or standards
Able to interpret and convert units of measure
Ability to follow written procedures, verbal instructions and understand technical drawings
Technical Diploma or Associate Degree
One to Three years of calibration experience
