This position is responsible for working with test engineers to test fiber optic products.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in related curriculum such as mechanical engineering technician, electronic systems technician, metrology technician, etc.
  • Solid communication skills including excellent writing skills and fluency in English – 70%
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Skilled at planning and ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to effectively work within a team environment
  • May be required to do physical lifting up to 40 pounds

Nice to have:

  • Experience with testing fiber optic products per international and domestic industry standards
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data using formulas and graphs
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience in fixture development
  • Experience with design software: CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Programming skills: BASIC, C -Plus

  • Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis
  • Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager
  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas
  • May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites
  • Adhere to strict safety standards
