Job Description

The Technician II (Carpentry) will share our passion for excellence and will be enthusiastic about creating a memorable guest experience. The Technician II will be a part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Director of Engineering. A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort if required.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform maintenance on guest and employee accommodations, as well as public areas, as and when requested
  • Carry out basic maintenance checks on plant and machinery
  • Specialize in carpentry-related tasks, including repairs, installations, and fabrication of wooden fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards
  • Stock and maintain the work area in a tidy manner, using company resources and materials in a responsible and cost-effective way
  • Provide genuine hospitality and recognition within the work area
  • Possess a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills
  • Be proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery, reporting defects and accidents to management immediately
  • Offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A good level of English, Math, and Psychometric abilities
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Five-Star Hotels or Resorts
  • Possesses aptitude and upward mobility

Nice to have

Technical education or vocational training in Engineering
