At the BAE Systems Aerospace Manufacturing Center (AMC) location in Westminster, CO, we develop and manufacture state of the art tactical technologies including low profile antennas, electronic warfare platforms, electro-optical laser imaging, and phased arrays. Technological developments are driving rapid expansion of our manufacturing capabilities to support customer demands. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and allows you to contribute to impactful projects with exciting missions. Working alongside highly skilled people including planners, engineers, and technicians where there is space to learn and grow. This position is intended to provide cross-functional support across the Manufacturing Process Centers in Westminster. The primary assignment will be in the Autoclave work center on first shift; however, cross-training and flexing to the other work centers will be a core responsibility of this position. You’ll be an important and integral part of the team driving operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure full compliance to industry, environmental, health and safety standards
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to determine bonding requirements
Perform standard autoclave processes such as preparing and bagging assemblies, operating vessels, and unbagging assemblies
Apply professionally accepted manufacturing engineering techniques, practices, and procedures to our environment
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective and efficient processes
Utilize innovative and creative problem-solving skills as well as efficient and timely communication
Assist in the maintenance, preventative maintenance, and operation of lab equipment
Initiate emergency procedures in case of power failure
recognize safety hazards, including hazardous materials, and pursue corrective action when necessary
Apply basic computer skills to input and access data via computer interface
Support other Manufacturing Shops and Service Centers including, but not limited to: Paint Shop, Printed Circuit Work Center and Adhesive Cutting Lab
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Interim Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
