Job Description:

The Technician 3, Equipment Maintenance position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of essential backend process equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in non-functioning equipment crucial to backend processes
  • Provide expert manufacturing and equipment support in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment characterized by rapid technological advancements
  • Meticulously dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment in strict accordance with schematics, repair manuals, and precise specifications
  • Execute rigorous preventive maintenance protocols, perform complex repairs, and conduct in-depth troubleshooting diagnoses on production equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills to address non-standard issues, operate with minimal supervision, and adapt swiftly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting
  • Exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and initiative, effectively managing individual responsibilities while actively contributing to team objectives
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering department to facilitate new equipment installations and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics
  • Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software/hardware related issues
  • Ability to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment
  • Ability to understand PLC system
  • High level attention to detail with methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering, and managers
  • Self-motivator
  • ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
  • Knowledge in Basic Troubleshooting Flow (Electrical & Mechanical)
  • Knowledge in Electric / Electronic Component

Nice to have:

  • Ability to use vision system will be an added advantage
  • Provide leadership to other technicians through training and mentorship
  • Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and drive factory improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of Auto VMI, Auto Labeling and Auto Packing equipment/process would be an added advantage
