We are looking for a proactive and skilled Technical Writer to join our team and enhance our documentation process. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and organizing technical content that supports our development and engineering teams. You should be comfortable working with limited information, investigating to find the answers you need, and documenting processes with precision. Your work will greatly benefit our team by allowing them to focus on development tasks without sacrificing quality in documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including How-Tos, process descriptions, technical specifications, and release notes
Ensure all documentation tools are up-to-date, organized, and accessible to support ongoing development needs
Take ownership of our Confluence wiki by updating content, maintaining structure, and ensuring documentation quality and consistency
Regularly review and refine existing documentation to enhance clarity, accuracy, and usability for both technical and non-technical audiences
Work independently to gather missing or incomplete information by consulting with developers, conducting research, and investigating internal resources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay updated on product developments and ensure documentation aligns with the latest software releases
Create, format, and publish release notes for software updates, clearly highlighting changes, fixes, and new features for end-users and stakeholders
Coordinate with product and development teams to ensure release notes are accurate and informative
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in technical writing, ideally in the software or energy industries
Previous experience working with Confluence or similar wiki-based documentation platforms
Strong knowledge of Confluence and content management systems, with the ability to structure and organize documentation effectively
Basic knowledge of HTML or markup languages (e.g., Markdown) is a plus
Excellent English language skills, with exceptional attention to grammar, clarity, and detail
Proactive and Investigative: Ability to work independently with partial information, conducting research, and proactively seeking answers to complete documentation tasks
Organized and Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple documentation projects, ensuring high quality and consistency across all content
Collaborative: Comfortable working with development and product teams to stay informed and clarify technical information as needed
Nice to have:
