As a Technical Writer for InN Pricing and Open Access Pricing, you will serve as the primary owner of technical documentation standards and practices across the portfolio. This role is responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving documentation frameworks that support product delivery, operational readiness, and client understanding. You will develop and promote the adoption of documentation templates for system, database, and program information. You must have the ability to manage large and complex projects, working closely with all levels of leadership. You must be able to identify problems and offer solutions while proactively taking on and mastering increased responsibilities. You will contribute to the evolution of documentation practices and standards across the InN/OAP portfolio. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Technical Writer partners with Product, Engineering, Client Services, and Marketing leaders to ensure technical and procedural content is accurate, scalable, and aligned to business priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Own the development, governance, and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation across InN Pricing and Open Access Pricing, ensuring alignment with product releases, operational workflows, and client (internal and external) needs
Independently synthesize complex technical, product, and operational information from multiple sources to document new or changing product functionality
Write, format, edit, and proofread process, procedural, and technical information for technical and non-technical users
Lead documentation planning and execution in alignment with product roadmaps and release timelines, proactively identifying risks and resolving gaps that could impact delivery or client understanding
Design, maintain, and continuously improve a centralized documentation repository that serves as a source of truth for internal teams and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Marketing department to publish and maintain templates for written documentation including those produced by others (technical specifications, RFP responses, presentations, etc.), driving consistency, usability, and adoption
Make independent decisions regarding documentation structure, standards, and prioritization within established guidelines
Identify documentation gaps and recommend improvements that reduce operational risk, improve product adoption, or enhance client experience
Provide or coordinate special documentation services as required
Requirements:
BA/BS in Technical Communication or related discipline, or at least 5 years of experience in writing complex documentation for web-based software in the healthcare industry
Strong communication skills, including writing, editing, and presentation skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Confluence/JIRA, and Adobe products
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities
Self-starters requiring minimal day-to-day supervision, who has the ability to thrive, without much oversight, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Proficient in SQL (Select, Joins, CTE, Sub Queries)
Analyze and interact with data in SQL tables
Utilize Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
Proficiency other Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
Strong analytical skills
Nice to have:
Previous healthcare contract knowledge a plus
Ability to read some programming code to obtain document content a plus
Experience in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conference
