As part of our ongoing IT department refresh, we’re looking for a Technical Writer to help formalize and standardize documentation moving forward. We are creating and updating a significant amount of foundational material, including policies, procedures, SOPs/runbooks, and clear end-user instructions for new product implementations. We want to ensure this documentation is consistent, well-constructed using our brand guidelines, easy to follow, and well-maintained on our management platform(s). This role would partner closely with IT and operational stakeholders (when necessary) to capture accurate details from SMEs and translate them into clear, usable documentation that can scale as the team evolves.
Job Responsibility:
Formalize and standardize documentation
Create and update foundational material, including policies, procedures, SOPs/runbooks, and clear end-user instructions for new product implementations
Ensure documentation is consistent, well-constructed using brand guidelines, easy to follow, and well-maintained on management platform(s)
Partner closely with IT and operational stakeholders to capture accurate details from SMEs and translate them into clear, usable documentation that can scale as the team evolves
Requirements:
Healthcare and government/regulatory experience preferred
Comfort working in both clinical and IT environments
Understanding readiness requirements for security and compliance reviews
Ability to translate policies, standards, and contract language into actionable procedures, acceptance criteria, and traceable documentation
Proven experience producing clear, consistent runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge bases using templates, diagrams, and practical break/fix guidance
Ability to manage versioning, approvals, and content lifecycle hygiene in SharePoint, MCN Policy Management Software, and occasionally Monday.com to ensure documentation remains accurate and current
