Join our Calgary client for an initial 12-month contract as a Technical Writer where you will help shape the future of their procurement learning and development programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an Instructional Designer to translate complex public procurement policies and technical tools like SAP Ariba into engaging, clear training materials. Job Responsibility:
Analyze and interpret complex procurement policies to create structured training outlines
Write instructional content for online modules, user guides, and professional presentations
Revise existing governance documentation to reflect current regulations and best practices
Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of all materials
Incorporate feedback from active training sessions to improve and refine learning content
Draft new training modules within established four to eight week timelines
Perform quarterly updates to procurement materials to maintain relevance and compliance
Requirements:
Ten years of experience in technical writing and the preparation of comprehensive training materials
Ten years of experience facilitating discussions with technical experts to determine business needs
Ten years of experience applying adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
Ten years of experience writing for both technical and non-technical audiences
Previous experience working within the public sector or a similarly large, complex organization
