Job Description:

The Technical Writer and Developer Advocate will create and maintain high-quality documentation, tutorials, and sample applications that drive adoption and improve developer experience. This role requires strong technical writing skills, experience with developer platforms, and the ability to engage developer communities through blogs, talks, and advocacy. The ideal candidate will reduce time-to-first API call, ensure clear and usable guides, and foster community trust in the platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Write manuals, guides, and API references using docs-as-code workflows
  • Create tutorials, sample apps, and SDK snippets to accelerate adoption
  • Engage developers via blogs, talks, and community channels
  • Collect developer feedback and improve overall developer experience
  • Drive strong adoption metrics for documentation and tutorials
  • Reduce time-to-first successful API call for developers

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical writing or developer documentation experience
  • Strong portfolio covering APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms
  • Proven ability to translate complex systems into clear, usable guides
  • Experience with docs-as-code workflows (Markdown, GitHub)
  • Strong editorial judgment and information architecture skills
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language
  • Comfort collaborating with product and engineering teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience in developer advocacy (blogs, talks, tutorials)
  • Background documenting AI, ML, or data platforms
  • Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and code sample creation
  • Experience in UX writing for admin consoles or SDKs
