We are looking for an Associate Technical Trainer to deliver engaging, hands-on instruction for adults preparing for technical roles in data center environments. This Long-term Contract position is based onsite in New Albany, Ohio, and focuses on helping learners build practical skills through structured classroom sessions, labs, and guided practice. You will partner with fellow trainers and subject matter experts to support onboarding, reinforce technical knowledge, and promote consistent learning outcomes in a fast-paced training setting.
Job Responsibility:
Lead instructor-led training sessions for new hires and employees using established technical learning materials and lesson plans
Teach core concepts through a mix of classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on lab activities, and knowledge checks
Provide individualized coaching and follow-up support to help participants strengthen skills and meet performance expectations
Work closely with trainers, managers, and subject matter experts to identify learning gaps and improve delivery effectiveness
Record attendance, learner progress, assessment results, and other training metrics to maintain accurate reporting
Evaluate training content, participate in material testing, and share recommendations to enhance course quality and relevance
Set up, organize, and maintain classrooms, lab spaces, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for daily instruction
Coordinate training calendars, participant enrollment, and resource availability to support smooth program execution
Stay informed on current practices, tools, and standards related to data center infrastructure, cabling, and fiber technologies
Requirements:
3-6 years of experience in a technical field such as telecommunications, data centers, electrical systems, fiber, cabling, or a related trade
Demonstrated ability to teach adults and clearly explain technical processes in an understandable, practical way
Experience conducting training sessions, onboarding activities, or structured skills instruction in a detail-focused setting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other standard computer programs used for documentation and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across training teams and operational stakeholders
Hands-on familiarity with data center technician work, fiber installation, cabling, or similar technical environments
Ability to work in a permanent, 100% onsite training role and support occasional travel as needed
