OSS, a division of Arcfield, is seeking a Technical Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and sustainment of space vehicle (satellite) systems and remote sensing payloads for advanced space-based missions. This role supports a next-generation effort focused on distributed satellite constellations and environmental sensing systems, enabling high-resolution, global data capabilities. The selected candidate will contribute across the full system lifecycle, ensuring technical alignment between spacecraft subsystems, payloads, ground systems, and data infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Perform systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle (concept, design, integration, test, launch, and operations) for space vehicle systems
Develop, decompose, and manage system, subsystem, and interface requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with mission objectives
Complete understanding and demonstration of the full system verification and validation
Support spacecraft architecture development and trade studies, including mass, power, thermal, communications, and performance analyses
Support system integration across spacecraft subsystems
Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and technical baselines
Support payload integration, including electro-optical sensing systems
Participate in formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and technical assessments
Support Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities, including functional and environmental testing (e.g., thermal vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC)
Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies across integrated systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering for space vehicles, satellites, or aerospace systems
