Job Description:

Our client, a recognized leader in the distribution of architectural hardware, is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for its Glazing Division. This permanent position is based in Montreal and is available immediately. Reporting to the Glazing Product Manager, the selected candidate will play a key role in analyzing architectural project requests, providing technical support, managing technical documentation, and contributing to the development of training programs and tools.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze quote requests for architectural projects
Identify suitable glazing products (stock or special order)
Ensure technical accuracy and compliance in product recommendations
Provide technical drawings, spec sheets, and glass fabrication details as needed
Respond to technical inquiries from clients and the sales team
Coordinate with suppliers for pricing and product support
Identify gaps in product offerings and propose improvements
Create and maintain a technical documentation library (CAD drawings, templates, installation guides)
Contribute to the development of training programs and reference materials

Requirements:

Diploma in architectural technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in technical support or architectural product quoting
Proficient with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Strong communication skills, customer service mindset, and documentation abilities
Bilingual (French/English) – written and spoken
Analytical thinking, autonomy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
