Job Responsibility:
Lead, supervise, and coordinate the Sheet Metal Workers team, ensuring all structural repairs are performed efficiently and in full compliance with approved maintenance manuals and regulatory standards
Oversee and approve together with Standards department, repairs on aircraft and components within Ryanair’s fleet, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications
Assist on preparing deployments to recovery AOG aircraft from structural damages
Analyse and implement the most effective repair solutions following Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) and manufacturer guidelines
Review and complete technical documentation and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure full adherence to company policies, procedures, regulations, and MOE (Maintenance Organization Exposition)
Promote and maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing Health & Safety protocols
Mentor and support team members, ensuring continuous professional development
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory authorities and company MOE
Certify completed work in line with MOE and company procedures
Requirements:
EASA Part 66 B1 License and/or Degree in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance
Extensive experience in aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal work
Proven leadership in overseeing structural repair teams and managing team performance in aviation environments
Expertise in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and advanced repair techniques such as riveting, drilling, countersinking, bolting, and fitting
Knowledge and experience in composite repairs (preferred)
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), and other maintenance documentation
Practical experience with specialized tools and equipment, including bending machines, English Wheel, flap peening, drills, and grinders
In-depth technical knowledge with a proven track record in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and implementing repair solutions
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to set clear objectives, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Valid EU/EEA passport
In-depth understanding and application of EASA Part 145 regulations in the workplace
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams to meet deliverables in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
