Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Support Officer in Automotive to join us, starting on 17th August 2026! Joining us as a Technical Support Officer in Motor Vehicle, you will be working in the brand new £7.5 million Automotive skills Centre using state of the art equipment and linking with all leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers. You will provide technical support and will contribute to the practical experience of our talented and enthusiastic Automotive students, within a hardworking team with high standards. As a highly engaged and motivated Technical Support Officer, you will have a genuine desire to improve the life chances of our learners. Tameside College has an excellent reputation, and this is a real opportunity for you to make a difference in people's lives.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes
  • Assess learners' progress in College or on work experience
  • Devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets

Requirements

  • Relevant level 2 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of the Automotive sector
  • Ability to perform a technical support role to contribute to effective learning
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
