Job Description:

Multiple roles available at New Norcia Deep Space Tracking Facility contributing to cutting-edge space missions. Work involves technical and operational duties including maintenance of IT, RF, and electronic systems, installation assistance, logistics coordination, and documentation development for Australia's growing space industry.

Job Responsibility:

Perform supervised technical tasks like maintenance on IT, RF, and electronic systems including working at heights on antennas
Help with cable, fibre, and electronics installations
Deliver high-quality work during time-critical maintenance periods to ensure station readiness
Contribute to rocket launcher activities
Support shipment operations between New Norcia and European counterparts
Assist in creating technical manuals, safe work procedures, and quality system documents

Requirements:

Certificate of year 12 high school education
Aptitude in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths fields
Experience in installation activities and maintenance of cabling and optical fibre, or electronics equipment
Ability and desire to work at heights
A general commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing at the workplace

Nice to have:

Completed or significant progress towards trade qualifications, diploma or bachelor's degree qualifications in relevant technical fields such as engineering, IT or science
Significant STEM experience
