Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer of industrial coding and marking equipment, specializing in Laser Coding and Thermal Transfer Overprinting (TTO) solutions. As we establish our new Hungarian subsidiary, we need a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to ensure our customers receive world-class service and support. You will be a critical part of our local success.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently perform on-site equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repair, and customer operator training across Hungary and the CEE region
  • Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring high-quality execution and on-time completion
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues of medium to high complexity
  • For complex problems, accurately identify the root cause and effectively escalate to the global technical team with clear documentation
  • Work closely with the local Sales Manager (AR) and HQ-based Solution Experts (SR) to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and deliverable
  • Collect and feedback on-site customer needs, product issues, and application insights to the HQ product and R&D teams
  • Systematically document all service activities, solutions to common problems, and customer requests
  • Contribute to building a localized knowledge base for the team
  • Assist in managing the local spare parts inventory
  • Ensure all operations comply with EU (CE, etc.) and local Hungarian safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on field service experience with industrial equipment
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
  • ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Proficient with various diagnostic tools and instruments
  • Fluent in both English and Hungarian, capable of using them for on-site technical communication and report writing
