We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Engineer – Azure Databricks to provide advanced technical support for cloud-based data and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex issues, assist customers with Azure Databricks deployments, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve technical challenges.
Job Responsibility
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for Azure Databricks environments
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues related to Azure Databricks clusters, Apache Spark jobs and workloads, Notebooks and workflows, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Data pipelines and integrations
Analyze logs, metrics, and diagnostic information to identify root causes and recommend solutions
Escalate and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Cloud Operations teams on complex issues
Assist customers with performance tuning, optimization, and best practices
Manage support cases in accordance with established SLAs
Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides
Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations when required
Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams regarding issue status and resolution
Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in Technical Support, Cloud Support, Data Engineering, or a related role
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
Strong understanding of Apache Spark architecture and troubleshooting
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
Understanding of Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and modern data architectures
Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud platforms
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
Nice to have
Knowledge of Scala or Java
Experience with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
