Job Description:

Embark on a transformative journey as a Technical Standards DevOps Engineer. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. The Markets Pre-Trade Technical Standards Management (TSM) team leads the remediation of technical debt and cyber vulnerabilities across our Markets technology estate. In this role, you’ll work with over 200 applications within TC2, helping modernize server environments and strengthen defenses against emerging cyber threats across cryptography, identity and access management, and threat management. Your work will directly improve platform resilience, security posture, and operational excellence at scale.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle
  • Manage the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Collaborate with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions
  • Collaborate with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects
  • Manage change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage vendor relations involved in technical projects
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies

Requirements:

  • Experience with SQL and Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting
  • Experience with technical infrastructure, application architecture, and security protocols within enterprise environments
  • Experience automating reports and dashboards to track remediation, risk, and technology health metrics
  • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Chef
  • Experience coordinating and delivering initiatives across multiple applications using structured project management approaches
