We are seeking a Technical Specialist & Service Delivery Manager for Storage, Backup, Compute and Virtualisation products in a demanding, dynamic, and high paced environment where strong Technical & Supplier Management skills are key to success. The role of technical Specialist / Service Delivery Manager is both a technical and service driven role managing various products including supplier management. You will need a good understanding of one or more technologies required with the ability to learn the fundamentals of all assigned products whilst abiding by ITIL best practices.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Support and Consultation: Provide expert technical guidance and support to engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders
Act as a subject matter expert in specific technology domains
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and presentations
Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences
Monitor both in-sourced and outsourced teams and activities in conjunction with contract management
Perform ITIL-based processes including incident, problem, change, configuration management, asset Management, major incident management, and entry into service
Contribute to annual capacity planning and budget management for managed products
Facilitate Entry-Into-Service from Plan and Build team to the Supplier in Run Operations as part of a Multi-Function team
Working in a team of 8 designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure in operational condition, E2E, in line with OLA/SLAs focusing on both Business continuity and end user satisfaction via our 3rd party supplier
Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC/DV Security Clearance via the UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) process
Experience in a technical role within the aerospace, defence, or a highly regulated technology-driven industry
Strong technical skills and experience: Specifically IT Products such as NetApp, Veeam, HPE Servers & ESXi
ITIL accredited with workplace experience
Experience in Contract management
Previous experience working in a product based delivery model
