Job Responsibility:
Operation of equipment: obtain results - Ensure the smooth running of events through precise and rapid installation, operation, and dismantling of advanced audiovisual equipment
Resolve technical issues and resolve them quickly
Do the right thing - Follow all company health and safety measures
Report any health and safety issues to the HSE manager, line manager, or site Project Manager
Ensure equipment is protected from theft and/or damage while in use
Customer Service: Deliver world-class service - Provide excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers
Maintain positive relationships with all customers through effective communication
See the big picture - Collaborate with the internal team on event solutions before and during the event to ensure the best possible customer satisfaction
Understand and promote relationships between the hotel, the venue, and the client
Staff Training/Development: Value people - Create an atmosphere that fosters the development of technical and leadership skills in other employees
Provide mentorship and coaching to technical, sales, and operational team members to develop their technical skills as needed
Event Supervision: Perform advanced tasks (before/during/after the event) with operational team members
Supervise and direct other technicians during an event
Equipment Maintenance: Help the team properly prepare, secure, store, transport, and maintain equipment
Perform inventory and forecast equipment needs
Requirements:
License in audiovisual technology or equivalent is preferred
At least 4 years of experience in the specialized field
3 to 5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse workforce, varied clientele, and senior management
Experience in managing projects with multiple tasks/initiatives
Strong customer and colleague relationship skills and experience
