Job Description

The Technical Sourcing & Production Manager will sit within the CAPEX Sourcing Team to support global project delivery teams by providing technical leadership throughout supplier identification, evaluation, fabrication, and project delivery for global entertainment projects. The role ensures that selected vendors possess the technical, operational, and manufacturing capabilities required to deliver project objectives and that fabricated equipment, technology, and scenic elements are successfully transitioned from supplier production into local project installation and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in entertainment production, themed entertainment, live events, exhibitions, scenic fabrication, manufacturing or related industries
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance systems, and production methodologies.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, technical specifications, and supplier selection processes.
  • Experience with international logistics, customs considerations, import/export requirements, and transportation planning.
  • Experience with packaging engineering and asset preservation for touring, reusable, or multi-location installations.
  • Ability to balance technical requirements, cost, schedule, and supplier capabilities when making recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in changing project environments.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with China-based suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Mandarin language skills or demonstrated experience working with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Experience delivering themed entertainment, attractions, experiential installations, live events, exhibitions, or large-scale entertainment projects.
  • Experience with scenic structures, themed environments, audio, video, lighting systems, interactive technologies, custom machinery, attractions, or related entertainment products.
  • Experience supporting touring productions, touring exhibitions, roadshows, or travelling entertainment projects, with a strong understanding of logistics, packaging, transportation, installation, dismantling, storage, and redeployment across multiple venues and jurisdictions.

  • Support negotiations for purchase agreements, NRE, capacity reservation, and long-term supply contracts to secure optimal terms and ensure supplier accountability for program deliverables across the battery supply base
  • Champion cost reduction programs utilizing should-cost models, raw material indexing (Li, Co, Ni, graphite), and data analytics tailored to cell and pack manufacturing
  • Create and implement contingency plans for scalability challenges, lead times, single-source dependencies, raw material volatility, and geopolitical risks in the battery supply chain
  • Develop systems for measuring supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, technology, responsiveness) and conduct regular business reviews with battery cell and pack suppliers
  • Travel (20-30%) to supplier sites, and work across time zones to support global battery supply chain activities
