Render’s next Technical Sourcer will play a foundational role in scaling our Engineering organization as we build the cloud platform powering the next generation of AI startups. You’ll partner directly with hiring managers and TA to identify, engage, and nurture world-class engineering talent across product, backend, infrastructure, and security teams. This role is ideal for a proactive, technically-oriented Sourcer who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and loves the challenge of mapping talent, building pipelines quickly, finding hidden profiles, and building long-term candidate relationships. You’ll have a seat at the table helping us refine sourcing strategy, improve our outreach quality, and strengthen Render’s reputation among top engineering talent.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with recruiters and engineering leadership to design and execute sourcing strategies for critical roles across Product, Infrastructure, Platform, and Security Engineering
Identify, engage, and nurture top-of-funnel candidates using creative sourcing channels including GitHub, LinkedIn, Slack communities, and specialized engineering forums
Source and reach out to 100 candidates per requisition on a weekly basis
Build deep talent maps of key companies and technical domains, surfacing high-quality, high-intent candidates early in the search process
Craft compelling outreach that reflects Render’s mission and culture, driving exceptional candidate engagement
Maintain and report on pipeline health, outreach metrics, and conversion data to inform recruiting strategy
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Recruiting Operations, and Brand to strengthen our employer brand and candidate experience
Proactively contribute to process improvements and tools that make sourcing more scalable and data-driven
Work closely with domain experts and hiring managers to calibrate quickly
Requirements:
3–5+ years of sourcing experience in high-growth tech environments, ideally supporting engineering or infrastructure teams
Demonstrated success identifying and engaging technical talent
Deep familiarity with sourcing tools and platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Ashby, GitHub, Stack Overflow, etc.)
Strong communication and storytelling ability
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and searches in a dynamic, startup setting
Analytical mindset with dynamic grasp of data, metrics, and continuous improvement
Collaborative, empathetic partner who works seamlessly with recruiters and hiring managers
Nice to have:
Experience supporting AI, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools companies
Comprehensive understanding of the start-up space and competitors
Familiarity with Render’s stack (Go, Node, React, Kubernetes, Postgres) or similar technologies
