Job Responsibility

Movements of trailers on and off despatch and intake bays
Following all safe and standard operating procedures to ensure fridge units are set to the right temperature and the relevant controlled documents completed
Liaison with security officers to allocating parking bays to all inbound LGV traffic
Carrying out pre use inspection checks on TUG vehicle, and refuelling as required
Monitoring the trailer fleet by conducting regular yard checks which are documented
Supporting the yard operatives in their role by assisting with FLT operations, unloading of trailers, and general yard hygiene to help develop a working environment that welcomes and promotes team work, which will involve manual handling
Documented 2 hourly yard check
Updating system with hours for WTD collation

Job Responsibility

Provide reliable movement of trailers on site to enable loading & un-loading for all site processes and the associated securing & un-securing of the relevant loads.
Prior preparation of all curtain-sided trailers to be loaded, including visual inspection of the trailer, sweeping the trailer-bed floor, ensuring all restraint systems are fit for purpose, are correctly positioned & secured.
Compliance with all operating procedures and safe systems of working.
Ensure trailers are correctly prepared to facilitate loading of the product to the trailer (straps positioned, curtains correctly positioned)
Competent securing of loads prior to moving trailers from loading point to trailer park.
Preparation of trailer prior to offloading, removal and correct stowage of restraint systems and curtains.
Ensure trailers are correctly secured after un-loading is complete.
Support customer on-time targets through effective management of trailer supply to the loading bays to ensure loads depart on time.
