Job Description:

Equipment Tech. Manager, Asst. Production Manager, Building and grounds Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance. Position reports to: Director of Operations. Authority/Decision Making –Equipment Enhancements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain all Presort and lettershop equipment
  • Perform a schedule preventive maintenance of all equipment
  • Ordering of parts and maintaining a supply of spare parts for all equipment
  • Assist in the day to day operations of presort and lettershop
  • Attend weekly Managers Meetings
  • Recommendation for equipment enhancements
  • Review the presort schemes on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the training of employees to operate the various equipment
  • Oversee the building maintenance
  • Responsible for the quality of barcodes produced on the MLOCR
  • Tracking of parts usage
  • Inventory of daily supplies used on a daily basis for the equipment. Ex. Ink & Strapping material

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • a minimum 5 years experience working on mailing equipment
  • Ability to comprehend, speak, read and write the English language
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, managers, and other employees of the organization
  • Some basic mathematics skills required
  • Some basic mechanical skills required
