An exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Manager responsible for overseeing the delivery of technical services for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) in Warwickshire. This role focuses on managing on-site technical operations, ensuring the reliable execution of PPM, Remedial, Reactive, Quoted Works and Projects. To lead the technical delivery, maintenance, and strategic resilience of critical infrastructure assets. You will ensure 100% availability of systems essential to national security and public safety while managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialized contractors
Job Responsibility:
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day technical operations, including the installation, maintenance, and testing of CNI Infrastructure
Oversee SCADA, PLC, and industrial control systems (ICS), and ensure all statutory inspections and compliance requirements are met
Team Management: Mentor and train a team of engineers and technicians
Maintain the Training Matrix to ensure staff competency, safety protocol adherence, and compliance with site regulations
Service Reliability & Planning: Partner with scheduling and planning teams to manage workforce allocation and align delivery with obligations
Monitor system updates and KPIs, addressing service failures promptly to minimize disruptions
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for on-site client interactions
Attend customer meetings, provide technical support, manage action plans, and escalate complex matters to senior leadership
Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular reports on performance, project status, and productivity
Manage incident reports for critical escalations and maintain customer reference libraries, including drawings and schematics
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all activities align with customer policies and safety regulations
Manage the Change Control system, conduct audits to verify contractual service levels, and oversee both internal and third-party contractors
Technical & Financial Management: Perform hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics of CNI Infrastructure
Manage site-specific budgets and resources to optimize efficiency, including seasonal preparation (Winter/Summer) tasks
Requirements:
Experience working within Critical National Infrastructure environments, particularly in technical assurance roles
Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards, statutory compliance, and safety regulations
Proven ability to support the delivery of complex technical projects within time, quality, and budget constraints
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels
Data Centre or Uptime institute knowledge/experience
Expertise in technical assurance and risk management within critical infrastructure settings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of industry advancements
