An international manufacturing leader in state-of-the-art commercial building materials and weatherproofing technologies is seeking a highly autonomous, relationally driven Technical Sales Representative to spearhead business operations and client satisfaction throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Working within a collaborative regional cell, you will play a critical role in managing, negotiating, and defending structural product placement on major commercial building projects. This division focuses entirely on the total building envelope—including below-grade foundations, vertical walls, moisture barriers, and window assemblies—excluding roofing frameworks. You will act as a consultative advisor to engineering firms, architectural practices, and specialty contractors, driving projects from initial specification phases to final distribution delivery.
Job Responsibility
Nurture, protect, and scale an established portfolio of commercial accounts, managing roughly 80% account management and 20% active business development
Deliver seamless cross-functional teamwork alongside dedicated local Architectural Specification Reps and Field Technical Reps to protect product footprints from design to installation
Conduct confident commercial negotiations and maintain close partnerships with major regional building material distribution centers to coordinate project delivery
Act as an active field presence throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta, averaging approximately 5 field/site client visits per day
Utilize Salesforce CRM to log site visits, maintain project histories, track construction development cycles, and manage pipeline details
Coordinate technical support and certified field training sessions for installation sub-contractors on site to ensure flawless quality assurance
Requirements
3 to 5 years of successful B2B sales experience within industrial channels, OR a strong background in commercial construction management, estimation, or field supervision combined with an eager willingness to learn
Fundamental structural understanding of commercial construction workflows, technical drawings, or building envelope dynamics
Experience in below-grade water proofing, foundation insulation, or wall panel assemblies is highly valued
Exceptional time-management skills and self-motivation to manage high field volume across a remote territory without requiring micromanagement
Polished interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills tailored to building trust with diverse commercial construction stakeholders
Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license suitable for territorial road travel across the province
