The Technical Sales Engineer serves as the critical link between sales, engineering, and customers. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to support the sales process, deliver tailored solutions, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical concepts into customer-focused value propositions and provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with sales teams to identify customer needs and develop technical solutions that align with business objectives
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product configurations
Lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, and presentations for prospective and existing customers
Support the sales cycle from initial inquiry through contract award and implementation
Act as a liaison between customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and operations
Stay current on product capabilities, industry trends, and competitive offerings
Track technical sales metrics and contribute to forecasting and pipeline reviews
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, tools, and technical documentation
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technical Discipline, or related field
1+ years sales experience in a manufacturing or distribution industry
Excellent technical aptitude with the capability to quickly learn new technologies
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
