Our client produces and supplies sensors to a variety of industries. They’re looking for a Technical Sales Advisor to drive sales and provide technical assistance to customers. This is an office based role apart from occasional travel for exhibitions / events.
Job Responsibility:
Support Field Sales Engineers across the UK by managing customer enquiries, coordinating activity, and helping drive new business
Generate new opportunities through proactive outreach, lead follow-up, and targeted account research to identify key decision-
Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable sensor solutions from a portfolio of over 2,500 products
Work closely with an in-house technical specialist to provide accurate, informed responses to engineering queries
Prepare and issue quotations using the internal CRM pricing system, with opportunities to upsell and maximise value
Assist with exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events, with only occasional overnight travel required
Ensure all activity aligns with ISO 9001 procedures while collaborating with UK and international colleagues to support a multi-million-pound sales operation
Requirements:
Strong technical understanding of sensors and their applications
Experience in a commercial or customer-facing role (a technically skilled candidate with some commercial exposure will also be considered)
Full UK driving license
Ideally familiar with using a CRM system
