An innovative and fast-growing European technology company is seeking a technically minded Account Manager to support and expand its international customer base within advanced sensing and engineering markets. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong interpersonal and commercial skills with a technical background in physics, engineering, photonics, or a related scientific discipline. The successful candidate will work closely with existing customers while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across Europe and North America.
Job Responsibility
Manage and grow an established international customer portfolio
Develop new business opportunities within technical and industrial markets
Build strong relationships with customers across Europe and North America
Support the full sales process from enquiry through to order completion
Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate internally with engineering teams
Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers
Travel internationally for customer meetings, exhibitions, and business development activities
Requirements
Degree or strong academic background in Physics, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Previous experience in technical sales, account management, or business development
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineering teams and customers
Numerically minded with strong analytical thinking
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to travel internationally
Nice to have
Experience within fibre optics, sensing technologies, photonics, industrial instrumentation, or related technical markets
Additional European language skills such as German or French
