Job Description

This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who is keen to develop their technical expertise and progress their career within a dynamic organisation. The Technical Reporting Accountant will play a key role in supporting statutory and group financial reporting activities, working closely with the Group Finance team and wider business stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting across the Group.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts
  • Assisting with preparation of consolidated Group accounts
  • Posting consolidation adjustments within D365
  • Supporting the annual external audit process
  • Preparing and maintaining tax query logs
  • Performing iXBRL tagging for statutory filings
  • Posting year-end journals
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Completing VAT, Corporation Tax, and deferred tax balance sheet reconciliations
  • Producing ONS returns and FCA reporting submissions
  • Supporting the Group’s corporate simplification initiatives
  • Performing TM1, D365, and statistical reconciliations

Requirements

  • Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA accountant
  • Strong collaborative approach with both immediate and wider finance teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong organisational and time management skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience preparing statutory accounts

  • Assist with periodic filings with the SEC and other external reports, including financial statement preparation, related footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and other applicable reporting obligations
  • Monitor developments at SEC and FASB for potential impacts on accounting or disclosure, communicate potential impacts to the business, and support any related system developments or process improvements
  • Support the SEC reporting process to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statement footnote disclosures and assist in maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships across functions, including business operations, general accounting, tax, treasury, legal and HR to ensure timely communication and review of reporting matters
  • Work with external auditors on reviews of SEC filings and disclosures, responding to audit inquiries and providing supporting documentation as needed
  • Perform special projects or tasks, including technical accounting research and analysis in support of the broader team
