Our client is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our team in Calgary. This position will lead the full lifecycle of talent acquisition for all Canadian operations, acting as the primary strategic advisor to hiring managers across the country. The ideal candidate will utilize modern recruitment tools and methodologies, including advanced sourcing techniques and professional networking, to build and maintain a pipeline of top-tier talent. Based in the Calgary office, this role requires periodic travel to the Toronto office to foster relationships with hiring managers and align recruitment efforts with national business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the lead recruitment partner for all Canadian business units
Consult with hiring managers to define position requirements and create effective interview and selection strategies
Provide guidance and market intelligence to business leaders
Develop and implement sophisticated sourcing strategies using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
Manage a robust pipeline of talent for current and future openings
Oversee the full candidate lifecycle
Prepare, negotiate, and extend employment offers
Develop and report on key recruitment metrics
Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Provide mentorship and guidance on recruitment best practices
Develop and deliver training programs for hiring managers
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the talent acquisition function
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in full-lifecycle technical recruitment
Demonstrated success recruiting for technical and professional roles within the engineering, architecture, or construction industries
Expertise in modern sourcing strategies
Proficiency with tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant to business leaders
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to present complex information and data-driven insights clearly and concisely
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex recruitment challenges
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs for hiring managers
In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment legislation
Proven ability to build strong, consultative relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Nice to have:
Leaning towards 7-10 years of full cycle recruitment experience
